The fourth demonstration against Mazón for the Dana aims to demonstrate in the street that “the people do not forget”

The more than 200 entities that have convened a new demonstration on Saturday to demand the resignation of the president of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, for their DANA management have called to fill the streets of the center of Valencia again to demonstrate that “we do not forget “To those affected by the catastrophe” and that “the Valencian people have not been passive” with them.

This protest, the fourth against Mazón and the entire Consell made from the catastrophe that on October 29 caused more than 220 deaths and swept the province of Valencia, is called this Saturday 1 from 6 pm from the Plaza del City Council of the City Council of Valencia.

In the presentation of the demonstration, the Mar Cardona, Anna Oliver and Alexandra spokesmen used that “nothing has changed” since the first protest in which more than 130.00 people went out to claim the resignation of Mazón.

Three months later, the organizing entities hope that this Saturday is another “mass” demonstration, although they make it clear that if not, the “social rejection” continues to a president who “tries to become the victim” and “hide in public events “where he has also had to listen to” the spontaneous reaction of the people “against him.

“Of course he knows who we are: the critical society that he wanted to silence,” Oliver has exclaimed, also president of Cultural Acció (ACPV), in reference to the repeated affirmation of Mazón that “we all know who they are” those who summon these manifestations .

In the protest, the entities want to make it clear that Mazón “is not a dignified president” or a “good mediator” and that he must resign with his entire Consell. “We are tired of him: he only speaks to distribute faults. We do not care about his bad relationship with the government, which is fixed because it is his responsibility, ”he demanded (Escola Valenciana).

At the same time, it is intended to support the new local emergency and reconstruction committees constituted after the DANA. “We want to demonstrate to those affected that we do not forget them,” said Cardona, who has denounced that a sense of false normality is transferred in the swept municipalities.

In addition to the social clamor, the entities see that prosecution opens ex officio a process to purify responsibilities in the management of the DANA, “whether they are.”

Prominence of the cultural and educational sector

In the demonstration of this Saturday, which will open the Muixeranga of Algemesí as a gesture of support to the cultural sector, the students and parents of the educational centers affected by the flood will have a strong prominence.

The fourth protest in Valencia against Mazón joins other citizen mobilizations made during this week in cities of the Valencian Community on the occasion of three months from the floods.
