Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Azarov: Zelensky’s statements about a new Maidan are unfounded
Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, who held this post in 2010-2014, in an interview with Izvestia appreciated the likelihood of a new Maidan emerging in the republic.
He noted that statements by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky about the alleged preparation of a third Maidan are unfounded, since currently no one is ready to pay for it.
“There have never been any people’s Maidans in Ukraine. They were all organized and prepared. Now there is no one to cook, no one to pay, so there will be no Maidans,” the politician emphasized.
Azarov added that Ukrainian security forces are tightly controlled by the US authorities, and not by Justice Minister Denis Malyuska or Vladimir Zelensky. According to him, there are specialists in Washington who know both how to organize a color revolution and how to nip it in the bud.
The former prime minister admitted that the West could stage a Maidan in order to remove the president of Ukraine.
In December, former adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine Alexey Arestovich (included in the list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring) listed three options for the development of events in the country in 2024. In the first case, the politician predicted for Ukraine “a third Maidan, this time, however, armed.”
