The circumstances that have occurred in recent days due to DANA, which has hit the Valencian Community very aggressively, have forced the suspension of the final of the Onetoro – Tauroemoción trimmer championship and the great bullfighting night of Arriazu, which were going to be held in the Alicante bullring this Saturday, November 9, 2024. The DANA has taken away houses, roads, all kinds of material objects and more than two hundred lives, being one of the biggest catastrophes that this country has experienced in years .
This is how the note says: «As a sign of respect and empathy, and in agreement with the Alicante City Council, Eventos Marenostrum, the managing company of the Alicante bullring, and the Onetoro television platform, we feel obliged to suspend the celebrations scheduled for this Saturday.
The popular celebration is one of the hallmarks of the Valencian Community, being one of the most followed activities and supported by thousands of fans, a tradition that is very alive and rooted in the region.
The Tauroemoción company is already working to set a new date for the grand final of the championship, being one of the most important contests of the 2024 season, “when circumstances and social stability allow it.”
For tickets purchased through online sales, the money will be returned automatically. While those that were purchased in person at the bullring, the money will be refunded until next Saturday at the same point of sale in the bullring from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
“From these lines we take the opportunity to show our support and join the pain of the people who have suffered these terrible consequences of DANA,” the statement concludes.
