We are just a few hours away from the launch of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in the west. However, in regions like Japan they already have access to this title, and it seems that this experience has started on the wrong foot for all those who chose to buy a physical edition of this title, since there is a big error in the discs that we find here.
Through its official Twitter account, Square Enix has revealed a printing error on the discs of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. As you may remember, this game is so big that two disks are necessary, one for installation, and one for playing. However, In Japan there is a problem, since the labels have been swapped.

This means that To install the game, you need the disc that says “Play Disc”, and to play, you need the “Data Disc”. Square Enix has mentioned that this error was due “to a defect in the manufacturing process at Sony Interactive Entertainment.” At the moment it is unknown if the same will happen in other regions. With the launch of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth just a few hours away, we will have an official response at any time.
