Singapore, the native country of Audrey Fang, the tourist brutally murdered on a terrace in Abanilla, is witnessing the pain of her loss these days. The relatives of the 39-year-old architect and designer of floral ornaments said goodbye to her remains this Monday in a ceremony held at the Mandai crematorium, in the country's capital. “I am glad that she has finally returned home with us and we can say goodbye to her properly,” her brother explained in statements to the national media 'The Straits Times'. “We still have many unanswered questions about what happened in Spain and why she died the way she did.” The partner of the victim's brother stressed the many doubts that still assail them: “We do not understand the savagery of the attack.”
“We still have many unanswered questions about what happened in Spain,” says the family.
Those close to the victim of this crime explained that they reviewed all her belongings trying to find answers to the relationship that the woman could have had with Ong Mitchell, the suspect in the crime. As her brother explained to the aforementioned media, they found several letters from the AIA insurance company in which Ong Cheong Yi appeared as the agent's name. The accused, who is in provisional prison, had reflected in an old Linkedin profile that he had worked for this company years ago. The family continued investigating, he explained, and discovered that the man had used that name in June 2012 to get married.
According to the aforementioned media, letters found among his belongings showed that Fang purchased two policies linked to AIA investments through Ong in August 2015: an AIA Family First Protect plan for $3,000 and an AIA Asset Builder policy for $50,000. THE TRUTH recently emerged that 'the giant Mitchell' worked at an insurance company in Singapore, and Fang had explained to his cousin that he invested in her.
