Francisco Borja Escobar’s family has confirmed to Europa Press that the body that has appeared on Tuesday at the Júcar River is that of this man, disappeared since last Thursday in the capital of Cuenca.
The 112 Emergency Service of Castilla-La Mancha has reported on Tuesday afternoon of the discovery of a corpse of a male of about 40 years floating in the Júcar river, in the vicinity of the chantre site.
Since 112 they explain that at 12 pm they had received a notice to activate a search device to locate Francisco Borja Escobar, which had been last seen on Thursday night in the vicinity of his home, on Diego Jesús Jiménez street, and whose disappearance was denounced on Saturday to the National Police.
Search works were going to start from 3:00 p.m. However, at 2:00 p.m. they have received the notice for the appearance of a lifeless body in the river. A few hours later, the family has confirmed that it was Borja.
