In round ten of the Eredivisie, the squatter between title favorites Ajax and PSV will be on the agenda tomorrow, while Feyenoord will visit SC Cambuur. Two more matches are scheduled. What are the expected lineups and which players are missing? An overview.
FC Twente – NEC (Sunday, 12.15 pm)
Special features FC Twente: Trainer Ron Jans has to replace two midfielders: Wout Brama and Ramiz Zerrouki. It is expected that Jesse Bosch will join the team and that Michal Sadilek will play in midfield.
Special features NEC: After the drama derby against Vitesse and a chaotic week, NEC hopes to take sporting revenge. The Nijmegen club has to do that without the injured Magnus Mattsson, Mikkel Duelund and Joep van der Sluijs. Pedro Ruiz, who had some complaints about the match against Vitesse, is still in doubt.
SC Cambuur – Feyenoord (Sunday, 2.30 pm)
Details SC Cambuur: Henk de Jong can again use Alex Bangura. The left back is returning from suspension. Michael Breij is ill and has to miss the match against Feyenoord. The prospects of Cambuur against Feyenoord are not very hopeful. The club only won 1 of 44 matches against the traditional top three.
Specifics Feyenoord: Trainer Arne Slot looks at today wants to be fresh enough to start against Cambuur. The trainer has the Norwegian Fredrik Aursnes as an alternative. Whether Marcos Senesi, who had a fever and was missing against Union Berlin, will be there again, remains to be seen.
Vitesse – Go Ahead Eagles (Sunday, 2.30 pm)
Specifics Speed: Vitesse did not come out of the fight with Tottenham Hotspur unscathed. Maximilian Wittek is struggling with knee problems. “He is a big question mark,” said coach Thomas Letsch. Enzo Cornelisse starts in the starting line-up, because Riechedly Bazoer is suspended.
Special features Go Ahead Eagles: Trainer Kees van Wonderen of GA Eagles can again use defender Gerrit Nauber and attacker Martijn Berden in the away match against Vitesse (Sunday, 2.30 pm). They are returning from injuries. According to Van Wonderen, Nauber is fit enough to play an entire match. Giannis Botos and Isac Lidberg are sidelined at GA Eagles. They received a red card in the tumultuous match against Heracles (4-2).
Ajax – PSV (Sunday, 4.45 pm)
Special features Ajax: Ajax and PSV already met four times earlier this year. In the Eredivisie, the leader came back from behind twice. Ajax, which came out of the battle with Dortmund unscathed, defeated the competitor in the battle for the KNVB Cup, but received a hard knock on the nose of PSV in August in the battle for the Johan Cruijff Scale (0-4) .
Specialties PSV: Despite the 4-0 victory in August, PSV is definitely not going to the Johan Cruijff Arena as a favorite. Wing forwards Noni Madueke and Cody Gakpo have both been injured in the duel with Monaco and will not be able to participate on Sunday. Striker Eran Zahavi is expected to return to the starting lineup.
FC Groningen – AZ (Sunday, 8 p.m.)
Special features FC Groningen: After the mediocre duel at Sparta (1-1), trainer Danny Buijs strongly criticized some players. On Monday, the selection and staff discussed extensively and now, according to the coach, ‘the noses are back in the same direction’. FC Groningen can also have an almost fit selection.
Specialties AZ: AZ did not come out of the Conference League match against Cluj completely without damage. The Romanian opponent often wielded the blunt axe. As a result, Vangelis Pavlidis, Dani de Wit and Jordy Clasie are doubtful. Trainer Pascal Jansen showed hope: ,,We are going to patch everyone up again.”
