ElAnalistaDeBits compared all the games in the Astro Bot series in order to highlight the evolution of the character created by Team Asobi and the experiences he was the protagonist of, from his debut with The Playroom to his latest adventure.
Born basically in 2013, the funny little robot was immediately able to break through the screen and that’s why Sony decided to produce the title that consecrated it in the eyes of PlayStation users, namely Astro Bot Rescue Mission for the PlayStation VR headset.
Greeted with great enthusiasm by critics, the game had to deal with the inevitable limitations of the installed base of Sony’s virtual reality device, which therefore wanted to bring it to every single PS5 with the pre-installed adventure Astro’s Playroom.
In the video made by ElAnalistaDeBits, the evolutionary path of this franchise is clear, which has made the most of the hardware available from time to time, always setting itself the goal of putting into play irresistible and often original gameplay mechanics.
A great confirmation
As we told you in the Astro Bot review, the latest experience with Astro as the protagonist boasts really exciting features and it’s certainly no coincidence that it stands as the game with the highest average rating of all of 2024 on Metacritic.
At this point, all that is missing is a strong confirmation from the public, which we hope will reward the talent and efforts of Team Asobi by having Astro Bot record sales not far from those of the most important PlayStation exclusives.
