The municipalities of Sambuca, Maenza, the town of Carrega Ligure and Albugnano, among many other Italian provinces, have already joined this program. But this time, the initiative changes country and moves to Croatia.
Legrad is a town of 62.62 km² with a weather of 18 degrees Celsius on average. This small territory that is located near Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, offers its houses for a price of 1 kuna (equivalent to 615 Colombian pesos).
What are the conditions?
Like all the properties that have joined this initiative, in order to acquire a house for 600 pesos, it is necessary to meet some conditions.
To be able to buy you must be under 40 and plan to live there for at least 15 years. The offer has reached the ears of several Croatians and Italians, who have already invested in this town.

In fact, the municipality has announced that it plans to provide municipal funds of up to 35,000 kuna (more than 16 million pesos) to restore the newly purchased houses and make them more welcoming for their inhabitants.
The small Croatian place has hundreds of hectares of forest and a large river, the Drava, which descends from the mountains to the Danube.

What is it like to live in one of these houses?

Daniels had to pay a deposit of 5,000 euros (just over 23 million pesos) for each home and commit to renovating the buildings within three years.

Renovation prices can range between 120 and 900 dollars per square meter (500,000 and 4 million pesos). The surfaces of the buildings usually vary between 11 and 190 square meters.
“If they sell you a house for one euro, it’s because you have to fix it,” he confessed to the ‘Metro’ media outlet. Nevertheless, she does not regret her decision, she only states that one should be careful and “be realistic”.
