The Emirates in the fifties: the role of women in building the state and society
At the end of this series of writing about the United Arab Emirates in the fifties, and now that it has completed its fiftieth candle of its long life, I cannot conclude this topic without talking about what the state has achieved in terms of caring for women, raising their status, honoring them and granting them all their legitimate rights at all levels. All Areas.
Women in the UAE have received attention, care and attention since the first days of the establishment of the federal state on December 2, 1971, and this came in accordance with a logical sequence that formed an integrated plan that was woven over periodic stages that began with education, health and social care, and passed through job empowerment and opening the economic, commercial and financial fields and ended By including it in the political sphere in order to become a minister and president of the Federal National Council and an active member of it.
In this context, the state and society have spared nothing for women to help them achieve their aspirations and aspirations in all activities and fields they wish to engage in without any difficulties or hesitation, thus achieving the highest social, political, economic and commercial ranks.
The issues were clear and the paths paved for women in the UAE. Over the past fifty years, the efforts of the state and society have joined forces to help women get out of their caution and work within them purely traditional roles in order to open the doors wide for them in a framework of adherence to Islam and inheritance. The ancient and well-established community in order to learn a higher education that would help her stand by her brother in the battle of building the nation with hard work and strong determination. The result of this was that she became an integral part of the young workforce in the nation, which at the present time produces everything that is useful and beneficial.
This is what has positioned women to occupy high leadership positions according to what they have obtained from a sober and refined educational attainment, and in line with the competence and role models that they were able to achieve for themselves.
All of this certainly did not come from a vacuum, or achieved in a vacuum, but rather from a firm belief on the part of the state and society that the modern state that was established cannot proceed in a firm and stable manner and achieve success without women having a clear role to contribute to all of that. It is armed with science, faith, love of the homeland and the desire to truly participate in its progress and advancement and its march to the highest ranks among other nations.
This became evident later on from the contribution of women in all fields and social sectors first, from raising children within the small family to working in the teaching profession later after receiving an adequate amount of education that qualifies them to perform such roles efficiently, superiorly and competently.
The truth is that what women accomplished in the Emirates, and within the record time in which they entered the affairs of the state and society, makes one amazed, because all of this happened so quickly that women in all other nations of the earth did not achieve. Year after year, women in the Emirates have achieved successes that are manifested in development and advancement at all levels, and their participation in the development plans of the state and society has increased politically, socially, economically, humanly and humanely within clear practical applications and plans, and in line with what is stipulated in the federal constitution, which guarantees the right of women to equality. Social justice, equal opportunities, preserving the entity of the family and preserving its cohesion as the first building block in building the state and the society in which it lives.
And the fact that the roles that women are currently playing in the development and overall renaissance of the UAE deserve to be commended, as they are important roles in building the state and society, raising young people, and advancing the nation. It is based on good morals based on an approach from the teachings of Islam and the legacy, customs and traditions of an authentic society, whose roots extend back to thousands of years ago.
On the other hand, the state and society deserve praise, thanks and gratitude for the support, help and support they provided for women, so that they can find their right path without any trouble or hardship. May God protect the UAE with all that it contains from all evil, and grant the woman in it what she loves and is satisfied with.
