The effectiveness of Sputnik V was assessed in six months

The effectiveness of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine is 91 percent against the Wuhan strain of coronavirus and 70.5 percent against the delta variant. This is stated in the updated instructions for the drug, writes RBC.

The document notes that the drug is 88 percent protective against moderate, severe and very severe cases during a six-month follow-up period.

Earlier, the director of the Gamaleya Center, Alexander Gintsburg, told the Russians which vaccine should be chosen for re-vaccination, that is, for the third vaccination. He advised the elderly to use Sputnik V – to choose the two components of this vaccine. And Gunzburg urged the rest of the citizens to use Sputnik Light.
