Desire for a ‘repeat’ after Mugello

We start again as leader and with three riders on track
Almost two months after the last meeting in Assen, where the reigning world champion Alvaro Bautista having achieved three podiums, the Spaniard presents himself as leader of the Drivers’ classification with a 6-point advantage over Razgatlioglu himself. The good performances of Nicolò Bulegawhich currently occupies third place in the world championship, have also allowed Ducati to establish itself at the top of the Manufacturers’ ranking, with the Aruba.it team which will also field the wild card Michele Pirro for this weekend.
Confidence in the set up
There is a real home atmosphere in the Borgo Panigale team, as reiterated by Bautista while awaiting the round in which he achieved a ‘hat-trick’ last year between Race 1, Superpole Race and Race 2: “It’s been a really long time since the last race and for this reason there is a great desire to get back on track, especially in Misano, the Home GP for Ducati with many fans who will come to see us – he has declared – I really like the circuit, it’s very nice to drive and in the past we have managed to achieve great results. We collected important data during the test a few days ago and for this reason they are confident that we can find a good set up starting tomorrow that allows me to have fun and ride the bike as I like. My goal and that of the team is to focus on ourselves to obtain the best performances, then we will take stock.”
Bulega’s dream
Particularly awaited home appointment also by Nicolò Bulegaborn in Montecchio Emilia and with the aim of experiencing strong emotions again after those experienced in Race 1 in Australia, when he crossed the finish line first on his absolute debut in Superbike: “It’s very nice to be in Misano – commented – the closer the weekend gets, the more the emotion grows. I am very excited and happy to run with these colours: we are an Italian team, on an Italian motorbike and an Italian rider. It’s the home race and the atmosphere will be fantastic. There will be many friends who will come to see me and many fans who will push us. I’ll give it my all to have some good races.”
