The Cultural Foundation participated in the activities of the thirty-third session of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, through a dialogue session on the novel “Before the Beginning,” written by Dr. Mahmoud Al-Ramahi, and the dialogue was moderated by the poet Sameh Kaoush, providing a glimpse of the biography of Dr. Al-Ramahi, the writer, engineer, and visual artist. The writer spoke about his novel, saying: It is an epic novel that is immersed in the myths and civilizations of Mesopotamia, the Nile Valley, the Levant, and the inhabitants of the Arabian Desert. It combines fantasy, philosophy, and science fiction, and its events take place in a wide time frame, extending from the distant past, through the present, and the last chapters of the novel end in The future is ten thousand years away, and it is woven into a drama that rages with strange and interesting events. Regarding the goal of this fictional work, the writer points out that the novel inspires the mind, explodes the energy within a person, and gives hope to life and his future at the same time.
