The Councilor for Citizen Security of Las Torres de Cotillas, Pablo Alberto Ruiz (Vox), highlighted yesterday his work in negotiating and improving the working conditions of local police officers in the last three months. Ruiz assures that he has held “more than ten negotiation tables and twenty informal meetings, which has allowed significant agreements to be reached,” despite the fact that 98% of the staff is currently on sick leave.
Ruiz explains that the February plenary session approved a series of improvements for the police workforce, and on March 20, an agreement was signed with UGT that includes these improvements. «The next day, this agreement was rejected. They do not want to seek agreements, they are only following the orders of the party with which they share headquarters in the town house, the PSOE, to destabilize the government team,” according to the councilor. “We do not accept blackmail,” Ruiz settled yesterday in a note sent by Vox, not by the City Council.
For its part, the PSOE criticized that “PP and Vox have rejected the creation of a negotiation commission to put an end to an unsustainable and unusual scenario in the municipality.”
