Netflix will have a lot of new content in May. We already told you about the anime that arrives this month, but how is the movies section? You see, on May 15 they will premiere on their service a film that went viral in 2020 and generated a lot of talk among consumers of the seventh art: we are referring to New Order.
The New Order movie will arrive on Netflix starting May 15 and it can be seen in its entire version, without censorship or adjustments by the director. It is worth noting that this film was first seen in theaters in Mexico in 2020 and generated enough controversy due to the political environment that the country was going through at that time.
Now, the film directed by Michel Franco had a humble collection of 1.3 million dollars. It lasts just 85 minutes and features the participation of several renowned actors such as Naian González Norvind, Diego Boneta, Mónica del Carmen, Fernando Cuautle, Eligio Meléndez and Dario Yazbek Bernal.
Likewise, it was screened during the Venice International Film Festival. On Rotten Tomates it has a good number of reviews (104) that barely approve it with 66% while the audience gives it 67%.
We will have to see how this film does when it arrives on Netflix, assuming that its consumption statistics will be available to everyone.
