The Civil Guard has neutralized three artifacts attributed to the Civil war that have been located in Valencia after the earth movements caused by the DANA. For this reason, it has reminded citizens that, in the event of a discovery of this type, it is important to notify the State Security Forces and Bodies without manipulating the devices.
“The earth movements that have occurred after DANA have exposed some buried artifacts, possibly since the Civil War,” the Civil Guard has reported on its official account on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
Sources from the Armed Institute have indicated that in total three of these artifacts have been detected attributed in a first inspection to the period of the Civil War. For this reason, members of the Group of Specialists in Deactivation of Explosive Devices and CBRN Nature (GEDEX) have been mobilized to ensure that there was no explosive charge that posed a risk.
In its note on the social network, the Civil Guard has recalled the importance of “do not touch” these types of devices potentially dangerous and to call 062 “immediately” to report their location and activate the neutralization protocol.
