The turning point of the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia 2022 is just around the corner, which after the exciting battles in Imola and Misano restarts from the Mugello Circuit promising a hot weekend on and off the track. Apart from the heat, next weekend 36 riders will return to challenge each other in what, as the third of the six championship rounds, is each year considered the “inside or outside” appointment, the one that most clearly delineates the rankings.
In short, you can no longer go wrong or you can no longer “hide” and in fact all the pretenders to the various titles up for grabs will be present, with some interesting news and still some possible surprises in the final entrylist.
At Mugello, an important stage also because we will return to the Tuscan ups and downs for the grand finale in October, there is no pre-race test on Thursday, but many took advantage of last week’s test to start preparing this weekend on their respective 911 GT3s Cup.
The prestigious tricolor mono-brand will therefore restart the engines directly on Friday, when the weekend will open with the dispute of the free practice session, staged from 4.15 pm to 5.35 pm.
Saturday the key day begins with qualifying: start at 9.50 for the 35 minutes of PQ1 and from 10.35 to 10.50 with the best 15 admitted to the final session (PQ2) which will decide the pole position and complete the starting grid for race 1, with departure in the afternoon at 16.10. Live TV on Sky Sport Arena, Sky channel 204, and commentary by Guido Schittone.
The Mugello weekend ends on Sunday: race 2 will start at 12.30, broadcast live on TV again on Sky Sport Arena (Sky 204) and also free-to-air on Cielo (digital terrestrial channel 26). Both races will also be available in live streaming in HD on the official website www.carreracupitalia.it.
