ALBACETE.- The care offices for those affected by DANA launched by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha on November 6 have served 400 families throughout the region.
This was announced by the Minister of Public Works, Nacho Hernando, who today presented the first draft of the Letur Recovery Plan (Albacete) in a meeting attended by the mayor of the town of Albacete, Sergio Marín; the delegate of the Board in Albacete, Pedro Antonio Ruiz Santos; the general director of Territorial Planning and Urbanism, Silvia López; and the Development delegate in the province, Julen Sánchez.
In this context, Hernando has taken stock of the activity of the offices of care for those affected by DANA that have been launched in Letur, Mira (Cuenca) and Villel de Mesa (Guadalajara) and has highlighted that more than 400 families have been assisted and managed to process almost a hundred requests for help. Furthermore, he specified, more than 320 procedures have been carried out that have to do, for example, with the Insurance Consortium or with other types of situations; as he explained, “the last thing the families who have suffered this natural disaster needed was to be faced with a mountain of paperwork when it came to claiming justice.”
Likewise, Hernando has shared the draft of the Letur Recovery Plan with the town’s City Council “so that they can evaluate it and make their contributions”, and explained that “its main objectives are to establish a series of principles that should govern the reconstruction and the improvement of Letur, with a series of clear, approved, rigorous and scientific methodologies, which is what will allow us to know that we are moving forward with defined progress indicators” and “being clear that we must count on everyone and establishing the channels of participation citizen.”
The head of Development has assured that “we are going to carry out the improvement plan with all the guarantees so that the economy is even better than what we have found.” Furthermore, he explained that “there must be new hydraulic works in which the hydrographic confederations and the Government of Spain will be part of the solution.” In this sense, he stressed that all administrations have been involved in the plan.
