The on-demand 'buhobús' begins to operate this Friday in the municipality of Murcia. Citizens who want to use this service launched by the City Council as a pilot project only have to download the BUSME application to be able to request a bus at any of the twenty stops that have been established.
This on-demand transport modality, promoted through the Department of Mobility, Economic Management and Contracting, directed by José Francisco Muñoz, will operate for free in this pilot experience that will take place between this Friday and until the end of the Spring Festival. , on Sunday, April 7.
The service hours will be from 11:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m., a time slot in which users will be able to request a bus at any of the stops distributed between the city and a dozen districts in the east of the municipality. These routes will benefit just over 140,000 Murcians, who will be able to use them with origin or destination in the districts of Zeneta, Los Ramos, Torreagüera, Beniaján, Los Dolores, El Raal, Alquerías, Santa Cruz, Llano de Brujas and Puente Tocinos , areas that will be connected to the Plaza Circular, Atalayas and Alameda de Colón.
The Councilor for Mobility, Economic Management and Contracting explains that in choosing the areas selected to establish on-demand night transport stops, both municipal technicians and those responsible for BUSME have taken into account the greater demand for daytime lines 30 and 31, as well as the previous Buhobús, which makes it the most suitable area to carry out the study on the usefulness of on-demand transportation.

So far there have been hundreds of people who have already downloaded it and will be able to start using it from tonight.
To launch the pilot project, the days of the Easter and Spring holidays have been chosen, in which there is a greater number of trips to the city center to enjoy the activities scheduled on these days. At the end of this period, the data on demand, collection points and destination, as well as the times used to provide the service, will be analyzed to assess its use and use by the citizens of Murcia to determine if it is included in the design of the new transport model that the Murcia City Council is working on.
