NASA has recently released an extraordinary new simulation, thanks to the power of the Discover supercomputer of the NASA Center for Climate Simulation, lAstrophysicist Jeremy Schnittman of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland has created a simulation that transports the observer to a black hole with an enormous mass 4.3 million times that of the Sun.

To carry out the simulation, approximately 10 terabytes of data, and it took nearly 5 days of processing using just 0.3% of the Discover’s 129,000 processors. To accomplish the same feat on a normal laptop would have taken ten years. On the NASA website you can also view the video in 360 degrees.
