“The Batman” is just the beginning of a new ‘Bat Man’ saga. Matt Reevesthe director of the film, has already said that he has plans to make more films, and that means that characters like Robin, Joker and many more villains could return to the big screen and join Robert Pattinson in this new version of the Knight of the night.
Robin, the teenage orphan
Robert Pattinson himself said in an interview that he wants to see Robin in the sequel, where he would like the character to be played by a 13-year-old boy, who would just be learning everything necessary to become the partner of one of the most powerful heroes.
“Yes, but he has to be 13 years old. That’s the only way I’ll accept it. I do not love it Death in the Family (the comic) and stuff, but I think it would be great. Also people are so scared of it, but it’s kind of exciting. I think it would be a very fun addition,” Pattinson said in an interview about it.

Who could Robin be in the world of The Batman?
Various media and critics have pointed out their favorites. Below is a list of potential Robin candidates.
Javon Walton
We know him as Ashtray in “Euphoria”. Javon Walton (15) is also a high-performance athlete preparing to fulfill his dream of competing in the Olympics. The actor has already shown that he has the depth and maturity to play complex and dark characters, which is the style that Matt Reeves preferred for his Batman.
Roman Griffin Davis
The young actor did a great job opposite Taika Waititi in “Jojo Rabbit,” where he played a young boy dealing with the horrors of war and loss. Robin didn’t live through wartime, but he also went through a great personal loss and he masters that emotional side.
Noah Jupe
We already saw it in “A Quiet Place”, “Honey Boy”, “Ford vs. Ferrari” and HBO’s “The Undoing.” Noa Jupe is one of today’s most promising child actors and has done a bit of everything, making it clear that the role of Robin is not too much of a challenge for him.
ESA Mariposa
There are many rumors that Asa Butterfield of “Sex Education” could be the new Robin. He has a similar look to the comics and with “Ender’s Game” he showed that he would look good wearing a superhero outfit. And although he is famous, he is not too old to play the character.
Thomas Brodie Sangster
The “Maze Runner” star always looks 13 years old and is already in her thirties. The actor is versatile enough to play several versions of Robin, depending on what exactly he is looking for Matt Reeves.
Logan Lerman
We met him in the “Peter Jackson” saga. He’s another actor blessed with an eternally youthful face, and he’s possibly the closest looking to classic Dick Grayson. If Reeves really goes for the original Robin and sticks to the traditional image, he would be perfect.
Dylan Minnette
He is most recognizable for his role in 13 Reasons Why, through which Minnette appealed to Clay’s naïveté and vulnerability, and that’s perfect for a young Robin.
Josh Hutcherson
This good actor is used to playing the supporting role in important franchises and The Batman would fit like a glove. Why? Robin will obviously also be playing a supporting role for Batman, and that’s before the bad guys show up.
Jacob Bertrand
The “Cobra Kai” actor showed that he has a lot of versatility to perform in the world of martial arts. Plus, he has the charisma to match up with The Batman, and he showed that he can go to dark places with his characters.
Noah Schnapp
The “Stranger Things” actor has no future projects after the Netflix series. In fact, he is about to start his university studies and this could occupy a large part of his future. However, he could take it as a big challenge to join a potential sequel to The Batman.
Jack Dylan Grazer
The actor who established himself with “It: Chapter 1″ does good humor, drama, and even animation. Perhaps his next big step is into being a superhero by putting himself in the shoes of Robin.
