A year after the disaster at the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, about 430 people remain in the TAP
A year after the disaster at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station (HPP) in the Kherson region, several hundred people remain in temporary accommodation centers (TAP). This was stated by the Deputy Governor of the region Tatyana Kuzmich, her words are quoted by TASS.
As Kuzmich reported, residents of the region who have been living in temporary temporary detention centers for a year now go from the points to work, and their children go to school. Some residents of the Kherson region, whose houses were in the flood zone, still do not have documents.
The largest percentage of those in temporary temporary detention centers are residents of the Skadovsky municipal district – out of 660 people, 188 remain in the centers.
Large-scale flooding in the Kherson region due to the collapse of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station dam began in the summer of 2023. According to preliminary estimates, the damage caused to the region amounted to 11.5 billion rubles. After the destruction of the hydroelectric power station, personal belongings of residents and even one multi-story building were washed out to sea.
