The Andalusian Hunting Federation has inaugurated a new headquarters in Baeza for its Provincial Delegation of Jaén, which will serve the more than 14,000 federated hunters of the Jaén province.
The new headquarters of the federated hunters of Jaén is located in a 468 square meter property donated by the Baeza City Council and in which the Andalusian Hunting Federation and the Jaén Provincial Council have jointly invested more than 260,000 euros. thanks to a collaboration agreement signed in March 2024 to undertake the rehabilitation and conditioning of the facilities that from today will serve the social hunting of Jaén.
The president of the Andalusian Hunting Federation, José María Mancheño, the president of the Provincial Council of Jaén, Francisco Reyes, and the mayor of Baeza, Pedro Javier Cabrera, have participated in an institutional inauguration event which they have attended more than a hundred guestsamong whom have stood out directors of hunting societies in the province, personalities from the Jaén hunting sector and political representatives and representatives of various public administrations.
The event has served to officially put into service a property located on Sierra Cruz Street that has a large reception and administration area, technical office, multipurpose classroom and a multitude of spaces in which The Andalusian Hunting Federation has invested more than 100,000 euros which, together with the 150,000 contributed by the Provincial Council of Jaén, have converted this provincial headquarters into a modern and functional facility that will allow for an important leap in quality, both in the attention to the federated hunter, as well as in work and internal organization for the FAC in Jaén.
During the inauguration, the mayor of Baeza, Pedro Javier Cabrera, highlighted the link between the Andalusian Hunting Federation and his municipality, which “is confirmed by this commitment by the Federation to Baeza, where the headquarters of its provincial delegation will continue to be located thanks to to the effort of all the institutions involved». María José Lara, territorial delegate of Sustainability and Environment of the Junta in Jaén, has expressed herself along the same lines, who has indicated with her presence the union of her Ministry with Andalusian hunting, which the Junta of Andalusia understands as an ally. for the conservation of the natural environment.
Support from the Jaén Provincial Council
For his part, José María Mancheño, president of the Andalusian Hunting Federation, has highlighted the decisive participation of the Provincial Council of Jaén in this project: «Jaén is the most important province in number of federated hunters in Andalusia with more than 14,000 members. Putting this facility into operation was a priority objective, to offer a better service to hunters and continue growing, which today we make a reality thanks to the resounding and seamless support of the Provincial Delegation of Jaén.
In this sense, Mancheño thanked «the support of the Jaén Provincial Council for an activity such as huntingwhich is not only fundamental to socio-economically articulate Jaén and its municipalities, but also actively contributes to the conservation of the natural heritage of a province that is a hunting paradise at the Andalusian, national and international level.
The president of the Jaén Provincial Council, Francisco Reyes, closed the institutional inauguration ceremony by stating that “the Jaén Provincial Council has financed 62 percent of this project because we understand that it is worth supporting an activity that, together with its social and cultural component, generates employment and wealth and also support for a group like the Andalusian Hunting Federation, which fights daily to defend social hunting in Jaen and Andalusia.
