The Komi Republic needs 400 million rubles to support agriculture in 2021. This was stated by the Regional Minister of Agriculture and Consumer Market Denis Sharonov. He spoke at the defense of the state program for the development of the agricultural sector.
The ministry has so far received about 98 million rubles from the regional budget. They will go to the ongoing support of agricultural producers. In order to provide full support in all areas, another 300 million rubles are needed.
According to Sharonov, who leads IA “Komiinform”, agriculture provides both economic stability and the preservation of the way of life of the rural population. Where agricultural activity is preserved, the village lives.
The Minister noted the deterioration of the financial condition of the agrarians. Farms are getting smaller, and some are closed altogether due to the lack of sources of replenishment of financial resources.
The budget for next year provides for support of the agricultural sector in the amount of 844.1 million rubles, decreasing by 3% or by 29 million rubles compared to this year’s level.
