The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mari Ángeles Túnez, is already closer to sitting on the bench for an alleged crime of administrative prevarication in relation to the alleged irregularities uncovered around a large pig farm located in the area of El Campillo. In an order, to which LA VERDAD has had access, the Court of First Instance and Instruction number 7 of Lorca has ordered the continuation of the procedure and has informed the parties so that they can rule on the opening of a trial. The Prosecutor's Office, the defense and the accused persons have ten days to formulate a document of accusation or dismissal.
In that same document, the judge orders the filing of the charges against the former councilor for agriculture and livestock of Puerto Lumbreras, Cesar Gázquez Díaz.
The alleged irregularities on which this investigation revolves and that could end up taking Tunisia to trial were denounced by Ecologistas en Acción. In a report, to which LA VERDAD has had access, the Civil Guard's Seprona investigators conclude that the expansion works carried out on the farm were carried out without an urban planning license. In addition, the agents highlight that the facilities have six warehouses and that only two of them appear in the regional registry of pig farms (REGA).
