The 4 restaurants with 'Taste of Italy': the Italian food festival in Madrid

That Italian food arouses passions beyond the borders is no surprise to anyone. And if they don’t tell the neighborhood Pink Riverswhich has become Madrid’s version of Little Italy, the well-known New York neighborhood, with its numerous trattorias. The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Spainlocated in Nuevos Ministerios, is in charge of bringing the IX Week of Italian Cuisine in the World.

Taste of Italy is celebrated until Friday, November 22 in 12 restaurants, 4 of them in the capital. For a week, selected establishments offer a menu or a special dish that is not usually included on the menu with authentic ingredients of Italian gastronomy.

Restaurants with a taste of Italy

Baldoria

Without a doubt, the most famous restaurant participating in this edition is Baldoría. In 2023 he managed to add the award for Best Pizza in Spain to his list of successes. Those who go to their location located in the Salamanca neighborhood will have the opportunity to try their Bufala Fest for 17 euros. A pizza made solely from traditional products: tomato sauce, crispy parmesan and Bufala mozzarella.

Sottosopra

With flavors straight from Trastevere, this Roman restaurant prepares one of the best typical dishes in Italy: the Cappellaccio de Cacio e Pepe. This is precisely the delight they have brought to the festival. This pasta dish costs 28 euros and combines two star ingredients: carbonara sauce and pecorino cheese.

Il Rifugio Pizzeria

In the heart of the La Latina neighborhood we find Il Rifugio Pizzeria, a small restaurant known for its vaulted passageway. In it you can find a fried pizza with Neapolitan ciccioli and cream friarielli for 15 euros. In addition, as it is the star dish, the waiters offer a shot of Italian liqueur. What more could you ask for?

Noi Due

With the most traditional flavors of southern Italy, Noi Due brings a unique bet. It adds a new addition to its exceptional menu: its orecchiette with friarielli pesto and provola fondue. You can find it in the Chamberí neighborhood and try its dish for just 18 euros.
