The list includes stadiums from all over the world, with countries such as Egypt, Greece, Morocco, Poland, Algeria and Tunisia represented.
And 4 Arab stadiums appeared in the list.. Al-Ahly Club’s “Cairo International Stadium” came first in the Arab world and sixteenth in the world, while the “Mohammed V” stadium for the Moroccan Raja Casablanca team came in the 20th place globally.
The “July 5, 1962” stadium of Mouloudia Algiers ranked third in the Arab world and twenty-seventh in the world, followed by the Olympic stadium of Rades, which belongs to the Tunisian Esperance team, in the twenty-eighth place.
The Signal Iduna Park stadium of the German team Borussia Dortmund and the Rajko-Mitek Stadium, home of the Red Star Belgrade team, finished third and fourth, respectively, according to the British newspaper, “Daily Star”.
They were, however, overtaken by Argentina’s Boca Juniors’ La Bombonera, which has been rated as having the best stadium atmosphere in world football.
The stadium “La Bombonera”, which in Arabic means “chocolate box”, is located in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, and is called the “twelfth player” due to its atmosphere, where the bustling crowd is a key player along with the eleven players on the field.
It is said that the unusual design of the stadium gave the grounds excellent acoustics, creating a unique atmosphere on match day.
First opened in 1940, before being renovated during the 1990s, La Bombonera can accommodate up to 54,000 fans and supporters.
River Plate’s El Monumental stadium, a fierce rival to Boca Juniors, ranks sixth overall.
Oddly enough, St James’ Park is the only other English stadium to appear on the list, with the famous Newcastle United being 22nd.
Argentina, France and Turkey are the countries with the largest number of stadiums on the list with three stadiums each.
