The wait is growing to see one on the road revamped version of Tesla Model Y. A long wait destined to last a little longer, given that that moment will certainly not arrive before next year: it was announced by Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, who explained how this year there will be no room for a Model update Y. “No updates will be released this year of the Model Y”, he wrote clearly on his official X profile.
Tesla Model Y restyling, debut postponed
The number one US manufacturer recalled how Tesla continually improves its EVs, so even a car that is 6 months newer will be a little better than what can be expected. In this sense, Reuters reported that Tesla has been slow to renew its outdated models as high interest rates have weakened consumer interest in high-value products, while rivals in Chinastill the largest car market in the world today, are launching cheaper models.
We’ll talk about it again next year
According to the latest rumors that circulated last year, Tesla was working on an updated version of the Model Y with the aim of starting production this year. As mentioned, however, it won’t be like that: Musk was clear, no restyling of the US electric SUV before next year. Customers are therefore waiting, and so is Tesla itself, which hopes to reverse the trend on the market as soon as possible: the data, in fact, show that the American company’s global deliveries of electric vehicles decreased in the first quarter for the first time in almost four years.
