The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan asks to exclude torture during the investigation of the terrorist attack in Crocus
Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin called on Russian law enforcement officers not to torture suspects in the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall.
“Demonstration in the open information space of footage of the detention of alleged perpetrators of a terrorist act with the use of torture against them in the form of bodily mutilation is unacceptable. The price of confessions obtained in this way is well known to everyone,” he said.
Mukhriddin also noted that it is important to avoid the emergence of an atmosphere of hatred, xenophobia and racism against citizens of Tajikistan in the media space of the CIS countries.

Despite the fact that Mukhriddin is against the torture of suspects in the Crocus terrorist attack, he called for the punishment of all those involved. According to him, the organizers, perpetrators, accomplices and customers of this crime must bear responsibility.
At a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS in Minsk, the head of the diplomatic department said that the Tajik side expects that the investigation into the terrorist attack on March 22 in the Moscow region will be impartial and fair.
11 people arrested in connection with the terrorist attack in Crocus
There are 11 people involved in the criminal case regarding the terrorist attack in Crocus. As the head of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, clarified, they were all arrested.

The last person involved in the case, who was chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention, was a native of Tajikistan Sharipzoda Muhammad Zoir (listed as terrorists and extremists). He is charged under paragraph “b” of Part 3 of Article 205 (“Terrorist Act”) of the Russian Criminal Code and will remain under arrest until May 22.
Tajik Yakubjoni Yusufzodu will remain in pre-trial detention until the same period (listed as terrorists and extremists). As investigators established, he transferred money for living expenses to the terrorists from his bank card, and after the attack he made a transfer to one of the perpetrators of the crime. In this regard, he was also charged under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
Previously, a connection was established between those who carried out the terrorist attack in Crocus and the Ukrainian special services. Investigators have significant data at their disposal about the circumstances of the preparation of terrorists, said the head of the Investigative Committee Bastrykin.
