Terrorist attack in Crocus: detention of terrorist accomplices, video and details

Employees of the Federal Security Service (FSB) successfully carried out a force operation to capture three accomplices of the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall. Security forces operated in three Russian cities at once.

According to the FSB Public Relations Center, detentions took place in Moscow, Yekaterinburg and Omsk. The suspects are from the Central Asian region, one has Russian citizenship, the other two have foreign citizenship. The detainees are suspected of involvement in the terrorist attack that took place on March 22 at the Crocus City Hall concert hall.

The arrest of the suspects was filmed. In the operational footage, the security forces asked the men one by one if they knew why they were being detained. “For the terrorist attack in Crocus,” replied the alleged accomplices of the terrorists.

The detainees transferred money to buy weapons for terrorists

As FSB officers established, two suspects transferred funds to purchase firearms and vehicles, which the terrorists subsequently used during the attack on people in Crocus. The third detainee, according to security officials, recruited accomplices and also financed the perpetrators of the terrorist attack.

The Makhachkala court arrested all three terrorism suspects until June 1. According to the case materials, two citizens of Tajikistan and their compatriot, who received Russian citizenship, joined the structural unit of a terrorist organization. At the same time, one of the men detained in Omsk will be taken to Moscow for a preventive measure.

Earlier in Dagestan, citizens of Tajikistan who financed the terrorist attack in Crocus were taken into custody.

The day before, on April 3, citizens of Tajikistan detained during the counter-terrorism operation (CTO) in Dagestan were arrested for two months in Makhachkala. The foreigners are suspected of organizing the activities of a terrorist organization and illegal acquisition, sale or storage of large-caliber firearms; they will remain under arrest until June 1. Investigators believe that citizens of Tajikistan joined a structural unit of an international terrorist organization.

According to the FSB, the militants participated in financing and providing support for the terrorist attack in Crocus. The group consisted of four people. They also planned to carry out a terrorist attack in Kaspiysk and leave Russia.

The CTO regime, during which three foreigners were detained, was announced in Dagestan. Two militants are from Central Asia, one is from Dagestan. The suspects lived in rented apartments, worked on construction sites and were involved in cryptocurrency transactions.
