Tennis | Harri Heliövaara rises to a record high on the world tennis list

Heliövaara remained in the semi-finals of the Acapulco ATP tournament with Lloyd Glasspool, but still rises on the doubles world list.

Harri Heliövaaran and his British couple Lloyd Glasspool the taival tennis at the Acapulco ATP tournament in Mexico ended in the semifinals.

World Cup singles Nelonen, Greece Stefanos Tsitsipas and the French Open doubles won by Spain Feliciano Lopez knocked down Heliövaara and Glasspool directly in two batches 6–4, 6–4.

The match lasted an hour and 17 minutes. Tsitsipas also played in the semi-finals of Acapulco on Friday, but bowed to Britain Cameron Norrielle.

Heliövaara and Glasspool played in the semi-finals of the ATP 500 level tournament for the first time. They had surprised the third place finisher in the quarterfinals, the British Jamie Murrayn and Brazil Bruno Soaresin.

The Finnish-British couple gained their main place in Acapulco through withdrawals. Earlier in February, the duo advanced to the finals in the Montpellier and Dallas tournaments.

According to the Tennis Association Heliövaara will rise to 50th place on the world list of foursome next Monday, which is the record ranking of his career.
