Jane Campion is the biggest favorite to win the Best Director award at the Oscar gala on March 27th. His dark nomination for his dark-toned western drama The Power of the Dog is also a top bachelor in the Best Picture category.
In 17 minutes Behind the scenes with Jane Campion The documentary visits the filming locations of the film and opens up laid-back views of Campion’s way of directing scenes and Actors, experimenting with different variations on the spot.
The document can only be recommended The Power of the Dogin for those who have seen it, as Campion says interestingly and enthusiastically as well Thomas Savagen from the original novel, and in doing so reveals essential parts of the plot already in the early minutes.
The director offers a deeper understanding of the cinematic atmosphere of the route by combining the ranch in the main building of Rose (Kirsten Dunst) observing Phil (Benedict Cumberbatch) to a babysitter who lived in her own childhood home and hid her malice from her parents.
