Not just on the highway: from today Telepass customers will have a preferential lane also at the airport. After Rome Fiumicino and Rome Ciampino, the new Telepass Fast Track service also lands at the airports of Turin, Naples, Milan Linate and Terminal 1 of Milan Malpensa.
Just as on the motorway, where since 1990 Telepass customers have been able to travel in dedicated lanes without stopping at the toll booth, now Telepass customers at the airport will have priority and free access to security checks at the Fast Track gate: in this way, travellers will be able to reach the boarding area quickly and easily, reducing waiting times and simplifying the travel experience.
The service is free for Telepass Plus customers and will be offered free of charge to Base customers until December 31, 2024. Simply show up at the checkpoint showing your boarding pass and the Telepass Fast Track QR code from your phone screen.
The range of traveler services offered by Telepass is thus further expanded. The Italian company of the Mundys Group is a leader in smart mobility and electronic toll collection in Italy and Europe.
The device that allows you to avoid queues at the motorway toll booth has been active in Italy since 1990 and for a few years it has also been usable in France, Spain, Portugal and Croatia. For a few months, being a Telepass customer has also been useful in Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Slovenia. In these countries, in fact, the so-called motorway sticker is used, created by a system of vignettes that can be purchased via the Telepass app.
In Italy, the Telepass app also allows you to conveniently pay for all parking and blue-line tickets from your smartphone, to buy bus, metro, train, plane and ferry tickets, to book taxis or micromobility services and even to purchase insurance for your trip.
Using the Telepass ecosystem allows you to have access to important cashback such as 20% on tolls made throughout the summer (until September 30, up to a maximum of 25 euros). And there are also important advantages for refueling: 2% cashback on the first service performed by the app. For electric car owners, however, the first recharge is free, with 100% cashback.
“Today our app-based ecosystem includes 30 services: from paying for blue stripes at the ZTL, from sharing mobility to insurance for both cars and daily mobility,” explains Aldo Agostinelli, Chief Consumer Sales and Marketing Officer of Telepass. “In 2010, we launched one of the services most appreciated by our customers: payment for affiliated parking. Today, among those in airports, stations, and trade fairs, we are the operator that provides access to the largest network, with almost 400 facilities in Italy and more than 700 in France, Spain, and Portugal. We like to think that Telepass enhances the possibilities of motorists in highway mobility, but also when faced with a ferry, a parking space, a tax to pay, a taxi to book, a scooter to rent, to buy a vignette to go abroad or to raise the barriers on the highway in France, Spain, Portugal, and Croatia. We continue to make drivers skip the queue and we are aware that we have an experience, an offer and a capacity for innovation that are unique on the market, therefore we want to continue to offer cutting-edge solutions for the movement needs of our customers in urban areas”.
