The related draft law was approved by the Council of Ministers last June 30 and is now being examined by the Public Works Commission of the Senate. The bill carries the delegation to the Government for the discipline of public contractsalso in order to adapt the internal legislation to European law and to the principles expressed by the jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court and of the higher, internal and supranational jurisdictions, and to rationalize, rearrange and simplify the regulations in force on public contracts relating to works, services and supplies, as well as in order to avoid initiating infringement procedures by the European Commission and to reach the resolution of the procedures initiated.
