Mexico City.- In order to streamline the reception of conclusive agreements and complaints between taxpayers and the Tax Administration Service (SAT), the Taxpayer Defense Office (Prodecon) presented a new platform on Thursday.
According to the taxpayers’ ombudsman, as of September 1, the only ways to process complaints or agreements will be the Electronic System for Receiving Service Requests (Serse), as well as in person.
This platform eliminates the possibility of carrying out procedures via email.
“The Serse is a significant advance that facilitates remote and electronic access, by simplifying the submission of requests for complaint procedures or agreements and in this way taxpayers have the option of managing them in an efficient and transparent manner, with the advantage of receiving an acknowledgement of receipt in an immediate and automated manner,” Prodecon highlighted in a press release.
Among the advantages of this new system, the taxpayer protection agency points out that the platform will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.
Additionally, there is the possibility of carrying out the procedure remotely, easily and free of charge, as well as avoiding transfers.
Complaints are filed when a taxpayer does not agree with the conditions or requirements of the SAT.
Prodecon can intervene in these situations to assist compliance and, in many cases, achieve an agreement between the parties, known as conclusive agreements.
