Tarasova said that figure skater Petrosyan can fight for Olympic gold
Honored Coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova named Russian figure skater Adelia Petrosyan a contender for Olympic gold. Her words lead “Match TV”.
“The most ideal, jumping, beautiful, strong, the very best. She is capable of fighting for the highest award, for the title of Olympic champion,” Tarasova said.
17-year-old Petrosyan joined the national team for the 2024/2025 season. The figure skater is the current champion of Russia.
Russian figure skaters were banned from competing in tournaments under the auspices of the International Skating Union (ISU) in March 2022. The last major competition for domestic athletes was the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
