After more than 12 years at war, thousands of children and adolescents in northern Syria are suffering the consequences of a civil conflict that has practically occupied their entire lives. Many of these young people from Idlib have barely ever gone to school and those who do are in very precarious conditions.
First modification:
Facing the Syrian civil conflict twelve years after it began has become normal for thousands of adolescents who have grown up with the tragedies of the war in the background. A context that has brought consequences for many, especially for those who live in territory controlled by Syrian rebels, in the north of the country.
In the city of Idlib, opportunities are slim for everyone, as the city is hemmed in between Bashar Al-Assad’s troops to the south and the Turkish border to the north. A panorama that especially hits the youngest, with almost no opportunity for the future.
This generation has barely been able to go to school during their childhood and from a very early age has been forced to work in jobs inappropriate for their age. In addition, many of them have had to deal with the tragedy and uncertainty of losing their parents or not knowing their current whereabouts.
