Here’s how Switch could boost performance.
Nintendo Switch it has sold very well all over the world and it looks like the hybrid will continue to sell well into the future. Nintendo insists that the Switch is still in the middle of its life cycle, but no doubt there are some performance challenges with third-party cross-platform games.
To address this problem, Nintendo could use FidelityFX Super Resolution from AMD to increase performance by a significant margin.
As noted by Twitter user NWPlayer123, a trial version of the upcoming Nintendo Switch Sports appears to have a license for the technology, indicating that it will be used in the game.

Note: it seems like Nintendo just added FSR to their “agl” library for graphics / lighting, not available to third parties
Also I take it back, FSR doesn’t use any machine learning data, is just a very fancy algorithm

The fact that AMD’s FSR is not dependent on machine learning like Nvidia’s DLSS could explain why Nintendo could use this technology (on a custom-developed Nvidia chip). According to the user, this technology is not currently available to third-party developers, so fans shouldn’t expect it to appear in cross-platform games anytime soon.
With challenging exclusives like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel and Metroid Prime 4 coming out, FSR could prove to be a great tool for delivering great performance with solid graphics for the foreseeable future.
