The idea of having a screen on the controller is not new. The Dreamcast and Wii U made this concept a reality. Now, Hyperkin, a company focused on the creation of peripherals for consoles, has revealed its new product, a control for the nintendo switchwhich has a screen.
Unlike the Dreamcast and Wii U, both of which were built with a screen in mind, Hyperkin's Manba One is a completely original creation. If you're wondering what you can do with this screen, well, not much really. According to an analysis by Nintendo Life, here we can access a series of configuration options for control, and only that.
The additional screen that the Manba One offers us does not have any interaction with the Switch games, and it simply offers us a simple way to configure the control. Along with this, the controller has remappable buttons that allow greater customization, replaceable face plates allow you to change the appearance of the controller easily and quickly.
Likewise, we find Hall effect joysticks, which offer greater precision and durability compared to conventional joy-cons. If you want to add the Mamba One to your collection, you'll be glad to hear that Pre-orders for the controller are now available, and it is priced at $69.99. On related topics, the Switch receives a new Dragon Quest controller. Likewise, these would be the Switch 2 controls.
Author's Note:
The screen is completely unnecessary, and is likely to end up being an impediment for many, since it consumes more battery than a normal controller. It's an interesting concept, but one that fails at the end of the day.
