Putin’s ex-assistant Surkov will be checked by the police for an article about the rapprochement between Russia and the United States
Ex-aide to Russian President Vladislav Surkov was reported to the police because of his article “The Birth of the North,” where he talked about the rapprochement of the Russian Federation (RF), the United States and Europe. This was reported by Baza in Telegram-channel.
According to the publication, a man contacted the Internal Affairs Directorate for the Eastern District of Moscow and asked to check Surkov’s article, which was published in Current Comments in September.
According to Baza, in mid-October the inspection material was transferred to one of the district police departments.
It is unclear what exactly could have outraged a citizen in Surkov’s article. Presumably, the friendly tone of Putin’s former assistant towards the Anglo-Saxons might have seemed suspicious to a Russian.
In his publication, Surkov predicted the unification of Russia with the West after the victory in the special operation.
The former chief of staff of the government in the article also admitted that the United States, which lives with “chronic phobias and manias,” and the European Union will not mature into a “correct world” so soon.
He shared with readers that Russia, the USA and Europe in the future could form a “triune northern geopolitical cluster” – the Great North.
