Leidy Diana Montoya Inzunza, Director of Culture, confirms that thanks to this supervision they already have a clearer picture that they can project these constructions as another tourist attraction in Angostura, since not everything is beach and sea.
“Culture and Tourism are working hand in hand, of course, with the full support of the mayor, Miguel Ángel Angulo Acosta, and we are analyzing all the possibilities of locating these historical places well and giving them projection. Many of us only know the monuments that are around the head but in the communities there are also truly impressive houses and farms,” confirms the municipal official.
The Director of Culture states that they visited the communities of La llama, La Providencia, El Playón and El Encanto, this last town, now completely abandoned, where only two houses remain standing. Their construction has an ancestral architectural touch.
“In La Providencia there is a large hacienda and a tall and spectacular chimney that the new generations will surely not know, but this chimney has details in its base that we will look for a way to structure a project and apply it to restore a part of it, thus guaranteeing it for many years. plus the one that stands.
In El Playón there is a very old house, which dates back to 1929 and has a lot of history, worthy of being known by visitors, in addition its infrastructure is very peculiar to that time but there are also more colonial houses.
