“It is clear that a new phase is starting today” said yesterday Andrea Costa, Undersecretary of Health, guest of SkyTg24. With the introduction of the Super green pass we wanted “on the one hand to give the clear message that in our country we would be closed again”, on the other to aim for “an increase in the vaccination campaign. We must record the positive data that in the last week there was a strong increase in the administration of the first dose. I think it is right to give the opportunity to the vast majority of Italians to be able to continue to carry out all the activities and to restrict some freedom for those who voluntarily decide not to get vaccinated but to allow the country to return to normality and avert the danger of other closures “.
Super green pass, what it is and how to get it: the new rules in force
The Super green pass is a reinforced green certification, with new rules valid until January 15th even in the white area. It is issued only to those who have been vaccinated or recovered from covid and which allows those in possession to continue to carry out a series of activities. Therefore, for those who are not vaccinated, new restrictions apply. The simple negative buffer – 72 hours of validity for the molecular one, 48 hours for the antigenic one – now gives only the basic Green pass.
Those who already have a valid Green pass for vaccination or recovery do not have to download a new Certification because the Verification C19 app will recognize its validity. Green Certification for vaccination after the first dose is automatically generated 12 days after administration and is valid from the 15th day after the vaccine until the date of the second dose. Each Green pass for subsequent doses will be issued within 48 hours of administration and, starting from December 15th, will be valid for 9 months.
From 15 December 2021 the validity period of the Green Pass has been reduced from the current 12 to 9 months.
In aid of citizens, the Faq from the government that clarify what is allowed to do with the basic Green pass and when, instead, the reinforced Green pass is needed, which is issued to vaccinated and recovered people.
