The official account of Summer Game Fest announced in these minutes, with a post on date, time and duration for the2024 edition of the great summer presentation event focused on video games, which will be held as per tradition at the beginning of June.
The event is set for June 7, 2024 at 10:00 pm Italian time and will last 2 hours based on what was reported in the message, thus presenting itself as a decidedly rich event, as often happens with this relatively new but always very rich and particularly followed by the public initiative.
Also in this case it will be a question of a mixed event: it will have a stage and an audience present in physical form but also an opening night broadcast in streaming, as now happens regularly both for this event and for The Game Awards, but also a dedicated area in which various correspondents will be able to try out titles and talk to the developers. Again, Geoff Keighley is organizing and hosting the event.
Between opening night and subsequent events
Ticket sales for the physical part of the event will begin on May 7, the organization reports, with the show taking place in Los Angeles in a location to be defined, followed shortly thereafter by a further invitation-only event dedicated to the press and influencers, which will take place over the following days from 8 to 10 June 2024.
Within the event there will also be space for the return of Day of the Devs: SGF Editionwhich will take place with a livestream immediately following the official streaming of the Summer Game Fest, therefore on the night between 7 and 8 June 2024.
There are obviously many games planned during the live streaming event and for the following days, including large-caliber productions and various indies, with the possibility of being able to try several of these within the spaces dedicated to the Summer Game Fest.
Last year's edition, which we followed live and in which we participated with part of the editorial staff invited inside the event premises, generated considerable traffic on Twitch and other livestream channels, so this too will be an event to be followed with some interest.
