The developers of Frost Giant Studios, made up of veterans who worked on the StarCraft series, took advantage of the showcase offered by the PC Gaming Show to announce that the real-time strategy Stormgate will be available in early access from August 13th in free-to-play format.
For those who don’t know him, let’s talk about a RTS with a science fiction setting characterized by a rather classic structure, in some ways inherited from StarCraft. The title is made in Unreal Engine 5 and will have a dynamic campaign, which evolves based on the choices made by the player and his results obtained in battle. There is also no shortage of 1v1, 3v3 or cooperative against AI multiplayer modes, as well as a map editor that allows you to create customized games, with some of these features available from the start of early access, others arriving later moment.
Bundles available at launch
The game will be available in game form free-to-play, but if desired, players can purchase one of three paid packages that offer various exclusive content. You can purchase them on the official Stormgate page on Steam at this address.
The Early Access Pack is on sale for 24.99 euros and includes Amara (Vanguard Hero), chapter 1 of the Vanguard campaign missions and Vanguard Gold (Army Accent). The Deluxe Early Access Pack, on the other hand, is sold for 39.99 euros and in addition to the previously mentioned contents, it includes Maloc (Infernal Hero), the Auralanna faction and the Chicken Supporter (Pet). Finally we have the Ultimate Early Access Pack for 59.99 euros, which includes all the contents mentioned so far, in addition to chapter 2 and 3 of the Vanguard campaign missions and the Firestorm (a shader for the Fog of War).
