Russian online stores in a radio interview Sputnik told about the most popular purchases of Russians on the eve of March 8.

Representatives of the Ozon marketplace reported that the sale of jewelry in the period from March 1 to March 4 grew by almost two and a half times year-on-year, and costume jewelry – by almost four times.

In addition, the demand for household appliances has increased in recent days. In the online retailer Wildberries, sales of laptops before March 8 increased by 3.66 times, smart watches – by two and a half times, smartphones – by 1.69 times, the report says.

It is also reported that online stores before International Women’s Day began to buy hair dryers, straightening irons and cosmetic accessories more often. “Most of all, Russians purchased creams (+84%), gift sets of cosmetics (+114%) and perfumes (+331%),” the representatives of the companies concluded.
