The Superior Court of Justice (STJ) reported this Sunday, the 8th, that it had suffered an attempted hacker attack, but without compromising the court’s system. The “cybercriminal activity”, as defined by the court through its press office, occurred on Friday, the 6th.
According to the court, the criminal attack aimed to paralyze the Court’s system. “Within a matter of minutes, control was fully regained, ensuring the functioning of digital services. The incident did not cause any harm to users,” the STJ said in a statement.
Public sector systems have recently become targets of hackers. The Federal Police are investigating the origin of a hacker attack that took the corporation’s systems offline. The Supreme Federal Court (STF) and the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) have also reported attacks.
Faced with several cases, the Lula government has been evaluating, since the beginning of the year, the creation of a National Cybersecurity Agency, according to Vera Rosa, columnist for State.
