Good morning.
San Michele all’Adige is a small medieval village in the middle of the forest, near Trento, Italy. There is a gothic church from the ninth, ninth century, all made of stone, devoid of the extraordinary richness of Gothic cathedrals, statues, windows, stained glass, porticos, flying buttresses, paintings, scrolls, miniatures.
Entering it is entering a space of deep silence that invites, with its high ceiling, to look up. Dark stones, maximum simplicity, white windows, only silence to immerse yourself in the depth of oneself and God. There is nothing to distract the mind.
The town, on the ridge of a mountain, is small. There is no noise from vehicles, you can only hear a scream from time to time and the songs of birds. Optimal silence, an opportune moment to take out and throw away all the garbage that accumulates in the mind and heart and to release the desire to climb risky and challenging peaks, to engage in a filial and loving dialogue with God and fill ourselves with his energy to face our fragilities.
After an event like the one experienced in our country, all we have to do is look up and ask the Lord: Sr., what do you want me to do?
Good day.
