1047 Games has released a new trailer official for Splitgate 2 which, for the first time, reveals the Gameplay of the new chapter of the particular free-to-play FPS that places itself a bit between Halo and Portal in terms of concept and game mechanics.
Splitgate 2 presents itself as a natural evolution of the first chapter, taking the original gameplay and enriching it with further additions, both in terms of content and technical expansions and gameplay possibilities.
The gameplay trailer shows some of the major new features introduced, while we wait to see other features in more detail and perhaps be able to try out these evolutions applied on the basis of the first chapter in a practical way.
Let’s discover the three factions: Aeros, Meridian and Sabrask
One of the most notable new features in Splitgate 2 is the factionsvisible in the video below.
The game offers players the opportunity to take part in three factions to choose from.
Each of these is equipped with distinct abilities, capable of adapting to a style of play diverse: Players can try mixing and matching factions within individual teams to balance their characteristics and make the most of their different strengths.
The faction Aeros It is based on speed of action, thanks to the Rush ability that allows you to make kills thanks to rapid movements, while the portal-related abilities are used to control areas of the maps. It is the faction closest to the classic Splitgate style.
The faction Meridian can exploit the Hypersight and Time Dome mechanics, able to focus mainly on the support class, giving its characters the ability to assist the entire team. It is a faction for specialists in support and team play.
The faction Sabrask It is heavily militarized, making its fighters the toughest Aces in Sol. Special abilities include the Smart Wall, which allows for a significant advantage in a head-to-head firefight and, combined with grenade launchers, can secure area control.
We don’t yet have a release date for Splitgate 2, which was announced for PS5, PS4, Xbox, and PC with a first trailer last month and PC system requirements already listed.
