How far to believe them? That a group of investigators from the Federal Prosecutor’s Office arrived in Sinaloa. That was announced yesterday by Governor Rubén Rocha Moya during his visit to Mazatlán. That President López Obrador spoke to him by telephone (he is in El Salvador) to tell him that he will support the investigations into the murder of fellow journalist Luis Enrique Ramírez. Rocha Moya also said that a special group of investigators was formed for the case. And one of the first blunders committed was by the attorney general of Sinaloa, Sara Bruna Quiñónez, who hours after Luis Enrique’s body was found and duly identified, went ahead to ensure that he “was not tortured.” That he died as a result of “blows” to the head. And she did not mention that the journalist had received at least one bullet in the leg. She later made it known. Until today, the Prosecutor’s Office and the governor himself have agreed that Luis Enrique was “picked up” a few meters from his house. For how many subjects? They do not know. That at the scene they shot him in the leg and put him in a vehicle, apparently white. And more they don’t know. The last hours that Luis Enrique remained alive is unknown if they were on board the vehicle in which he was forced to get on. Nor how they arrive with the body and throw it in the place where it was located. They estimate that the “levantón” occurred between two and three in the morning of Thursday the 5th. Around 10:00 am his lifeless body was located. Many questions exist. And time is running out without specifying how many subjects participated, what vehicle was used. And how the murderers managed to drive a vehicle with the journalist inside and dump his body on the side of Mexico 15 highway south of Culiacán without anyone, absolutely no one, bothering them.
The requirement. Journalists from various media outlets held a sit-in yesterday in Culiacán to demand clarification of the murder of comrade Luis Enrique Ramírez. Demand that impunity, which is currently the hallmark of the Government, does not prevail. That the murderers of journalist Luis Enrique Ramírez be arrested and that the law be applied. In Mexico City, organizations of journalists, social leaders and human rights defenders were summoned to protest at the Angel of Independence on Monday, May 9 at 5:00 p.m. The protest is to demand justice for the murder of the nine journalists who, in these first months of this year, have died at the hands of murderers who operate with great impunity.
Nothing to negotiate with Estrada Ferreiro. The governor yesterday was seen upset. And it was because of the repeated questions from reporters about the statements made by the mayor of Culiacán, Jesús Estrada Ferreiro, that “they are like rabid dogs.” And he was referring to the governor and the deputies. Estrada Ferreiro had also said that he was willing to sit down to negotiate politically with the governor. But yesterday Rubén Rocha Moya hit it. He said that he had nothing to negotiate with the mayor. That the issue is in the hands of the deputies. That it is with the latter that he should talk. That he (Rocha Moya) is not part of the issue. And if he has something to negotiate politically, it is with the deputies. The truth is that in this case it seems that what Estrada Ferreiro is looking for is to leave the mayor’s office as hard as possible. He knows that the Attorney General’s Office is already investigating him. He knows that the Superior Audit of Sinaloa also.
