First serious mistake for the World Championship leader
Jorge Martin he crashed while leading the Spanish Grand Prix of the MotoGP class. The Ducati Pramac rider had been overtaken by Francesco Bagnaia who had started well from the third row during the first laps, but then a mistake by the two-time world champion on the last corner had opened the door again for Martinator.
In Turn-6 Bagnaia had attempted to overtake several times against Martin who, with notable braking, had always managed to repel the Italian's attacks. Bagnaia always remained behind Martin without breaking away from the exhausts of the Ducati GP-24 until precisely in Turn-6 Martin violently lost the front slipping from race leader.
This zero in the standings for Martin it is the first of the season and it is very difficult because it allows his opponents to get close to the Spanish driver who will in any case remain leader of the World Championship despite this serious mistake.
